Bo Bo’s Bowtique

BoBo’s Bowtique holds a special place in my heart, as it's a project deeply connected to me. My mom is dedicated to crafting dog attire, particularly dog bows that bring smiles to every dog owner who comes into her booth at craft and art shows. This design concept revolves around the joyful essence that dogs evoke in their owners. Infused with shades drawn from items commonly used by pet enthusiasts, such as the vibrant neon green of the tennis ball and the vivid hue of grass that dogs frolic upon. The doodles of the dogs bring a charming, handcrafted quality that reflects the knowledge that each product is meticulously created within a space by a single artist.

Color matching RGB & CMYK is a difficult task

To bring this design system to life we wanted to paint all the displays to match the vibrant colors of the design system. This required some knowledge of tone, shade and communicating that to the workers in the paint store. Nevertheless we found colors closely related to the above and the displays look amazing!

What I Learned

K.I.S.S (Keep it Simple Silly)

Owning a dog is a TASK. The people who come into my mom’s dog booth are mainly always looking for one thing, the bows. So, with this system i wanted to keep it fairly simple and create these giant shapes, including the bow shape, to showcase some recognizability to the in store booth.
